EVERYONE you just named has corny bar lines. EVERY.SINGLE. last one. Every single last one has the same issues you fukking said. That's because there is only so many words in the entire world you can string together. That's the reality, breh.
My main point is there is a reason they do this, because a lot of listeners want to hear that. If it fits w/ the flow, that's how it goes. But my dude, I know you didn't say Wale and Ab soul...... These two are notoriously hated for their lines.
I'm going to tell you this. EVERY single last emcee you named would give daps and acclaim to Cyhi. They recognize the skill and phrasing. As far as these corny lines whenever you have punchlines, that's just how it goes.
What you just did was give a classic example of what is wrong w/ Hip Hop today. People will single out one emcee and just make a broad statement "This person does it better" No, they don't. You can't measure artists like that especially in the stages of growth and evolution. BHP series is as good as anything the above did & I'm fans of most of them.
