i'm rewatching season 2 on prime right now, to reconsider if it's really a "shytty" season. it's actually not that bad 
the way that they actually fleshed out how the shyt gets in here through the ports is actually pretty fukkin dope. the ziggy storyline is embarrassing, if they hadnt done that i think it would be more better remembered

Season 5 made me dislike McNulty, at first I respected his detective skills

fukk Season 5 for jumping the shark with that nonsense. I don't understand how people can say Season 2 is worse than Season 5. The newspaper side story was fukking lame too. fukk Scott Templeton or whatever his name was. Only character worse than him was Ziggy but at least Ziggy provided fukkery.

Didnt think much of it before or if it was obvious from the beginning, but for me, when McNulty was trying to get in touch with the dead prostitute family, at first I thought he was genuinely trying to let her family know what happened. After rewatching, I think he really didn't give a fukk. McNulty was doing all that to keep his detective skills sharp since he was stuck on the boat.
