People that think Curren$y is average need to get their ears checked. A lot of the the things he says are so sly, slick and non nonchalant that you don't even notice...until you actually think about what he said. He gives more life lessons and tidbits that you can apply to your life than your average so called "advanced" lyricist. Nothing about him is forced, it's just effortless and natural. Spitta is advanced in his own right.
He is one of the best overall rappers out in the last 4 years, yeah he might not use super punch lines or get you with his voice, don't be fooled though..his flow is more advanced than you think at first listen. Him breaking away from young money was destiny, the man needed his own shine..and rightfully so.
