this show had 8 seasons and never once fell off in quality. which is amazing. most shows can't go 3 seasons and do that

Truth.

I think a lot had to do with his approach. Rather than just giving us a season 9 right away cuz the demand was there he sat on it and apparently is only doing it when ready. So it shouldn't get stale.
