I read that penn station will be used for off hour trains. But yeah this is a welcome change for most people that uses penn. I think it should make transferring to the a c e faster too since it's on 8th

Yeah! When I looked through the photos there is a nice new entrance for the a/c/e outside the new station. I remember what felt like 30 minutes speed walking from the A to Amtrak one time, almost missed my train. :mjlol:

The city already has an issue getting people back. That would kill it for good

Since when :heh:

People who really need to get into the city can use the LIRR/Metro North/Subway. Otherwise, if you need your car in the city that bad, you should pay for that.

London has congestion pricing, they aren't doing too bad.

Since thousands moved out, retail dying, and office buildings are low in tenants coming back. Thousands are unemployed in my industry because of occupancy.

Last thing the city needs is another exorbitant tax, especially one simply getting to the city. Traffic is not a priority now.

People need to get back into the city, I agree. But this is a golden opportunity to move beyond the traffic congestion which made living in the city a living hell. I'm all for expanding public transport, carpooling, all that. But the residents of the city and their quality of life, take priority over commuters' cars for me. I enjoy outside brunch on the street :yeshrug:
