Ever since we stepped off the ships, the black man has never given up on his woman. We only got this far through slavery, through civil rights, etc to now because black men have ensured it. That's what I meant. Don't matter if it was pre or post atlantic slave trade.

If its not the primary catalyst, then what is? The only reason 'strong, black woman' exists is because of government manipulation and Cac media happening today.

I am saying that media it is not the only reason just one of the most recent... it is one of many reasons that started with the Slave trade... and the fact that the slave trade is past tense does not mean the effects of it are in the past.

shyts comedy tho. I can't believe that some black women take issue if white women rock Afros, but then have no issue with black women rockin long blonde weaves :dead:

If you can't see the glaring hypocrisy here, then I don't know what to tell you
Ignore historical context, brehs. Let's just forget that Blacks were forced out of jobs and ridiculed for their "unkempt" hair, so *gasp* to fit into society they adopted the style of the dominant culture. Now, the dominant culture wants to take something that they shyt on blacks for centuries for, and make it not only cool and acceptable, but a must do, and you have blacks caping for this crud? Spare the fukking bullshyt you dudes sound like white supremacists who LOVE to ignore the historical context when downplaying racism.

This thread is wild so a black woman with straightened hair/weave is all fun but a white woman with an afro is cultural appropriation?

It's got nothing to do with defending ww or shytting on bw its simple logic you can't have it both ways.

there'd be no outrage over whites adopting anyone's culture if they didn't go out of their way to oppress others for having the very traits/cultural practices they are stealing.

Knew you'd say that:comeon:. Basically this post-welfare 70% black single mothers deal is recent compared to the other couple hundred years black american men safeguarded their women. The men led, women supported and we all survived and thrived. That's how it was for those centuries.

Also, most of the weave black women wear is from Asians/Indians. Most white women have stringy hair; no one wants that shyt. So AT LEAST be accurate if you say black women who wear weave want to emulate another race. That race would be asian.
who the fukk are yall fooling? i hate to address you but since you want to be so passive, you've forced my hands. BW haven't historically hated their hair because of asian or indian women. i thought @bcrusaderw said it's because of white supremacy. not asian or indian supremacy.

this is the type of dishonesty we're dealing with. BW cant even admit they flock towards weave to fit euro-centric beauty standards
