On top of that we acknowledge them as Black Americans. No one disputes that. We are just saying that they are not African Americans, which is a clearly defined group of people.

Agreed. I still think that is weird. Yes, they are "black" due to skin/race -- but in America - "Black American" was alway for ADOS. So, they would be their parent's county/ethnicity - American.

I don't see them as apart of Black America or Native Black American Culture or Community. They would be their sub-group.

Above the fray.
You are the definition of an agent. Double speak and gibberish.
When it comes down to things ACTUALLY getting done......the excuses are made and the insults thrown around.

What is YOUR end goal? Not what you're repeating from somebody else, but YOURS?
Is your energy focused in that direction or are you just flapping your gums?

Your people were not. :manny:
Is English your first language?
What would you be then? Not being funny or trying to be disrespectful -- but your parents or grandparents were immigrants.

That means you are the child of immigrants -- hence an immigrant.

You would be your parents country-American. And to most that would be you are a foreigner - who was raised in America.

What do you want to be or called?
Please refer to definition of immigrant I posted above.
A person born in The United States is an American. A person not born in the United States and permanently moves to the US is an immigrant. Very easy concept to understand.

I"m sorry -- you are still looked as a immigrant -- a child of immigrants-- a 1st generation American -- meaning immigrant. Nothing wrong with it.

Your parents are immigrants who had a baby in America -- and chose to stay here. There is nothing wrong with that. I don't see the issue.

? Do you guys realize that not all Americans are African Americans ? If I meant to say I was African American, I would say that.
Read the Fourteenth Amendment and the 1866 civil rights act. Jeez. I’m Not going to address your second paragraph

And also American. Just like you are African American and American. I didn’t immigrate anywhere I was born and raised in the US, I’m not an immigrant

Ok. So, to you an ADOS is the same as a child of immigrants - born and raised in America? Would you label your parents as immigrants?

I am seriously trying to understand -- and not trolling.

Stop arguing. Folks like to play stupid sometimes..when clearly 90% of the time they have NO issues being[insert ethnicity/origin/culture of parents or grandparents]- American,or Canadian ect.
