But didn't he end up on some reality show or something?
Not exactly, a quasi sketch show called 'Bo Selecta' kinda clowned him hhe even went on it to own it) which definitely tainted him a bit, but he's long bounced back from that

man... I got so many memories to this album. And the thing was I hated on Craig David at first. I thought dude was too soft (even though his hair game had me entranced - I wanted hair like that) My brother thought he was the greatest thing since sliced bread, which makes sense now because my bro was always more of an RnB cat.

Anyway, Fill Me In comes out. I'm in high school. I thought the song was straight trash because I simply didn't get it. shyt was definitely ahead. Years later, I realized it was brilliant and imo, it's his best ever track.

Then 7 Days comes out. and the girls go insane. Dude's haircut was so damn fly. Girl he had in the video was sexy, and the chorus was brilliant. I was still kinda 'eh' on dude but I was getting more accustomed to his sound.

Then "Walking Away" came out. I was fukkin with that joint on the low. So I finally buy the album for my bro. He loves it. Declares it an instant classic.

"Rendezvous" was the joint that did me in. I used to play that shyt EVERY TIME I had a girl over first year of college. Song doesn't do much for me anymore, though. Sounds a bit too poppy. I can't fukk to that shyt as a grown man.

The most underrated record on the entire album though? Booty Man, word to @Yehuda. Top 5 Craig David song to me.

I was a young black man stationed in Germany when Born to do it came out. You little nikkas have no idea.

All know is Craig David became a joke in his country. He even had a drink named after him in London. I forget the story but it was hilarious. :mjlol:

Rise and fall I guess :manny:

"Craig David all over your :shaq:"

I always forget that cats like Premier fukked with Craig David. It was rare for him to reach across the Pond like that. I don't have the time or space to write a list of the UK hip hop acts who would have given a vital organ for that link.

2 Step Craig with The Artful Dodger was inescapable when they dropped

Re-rewind :gladbron:

When the crowd say 'Bo!' :ooh:

@K-Slim Re: British soul - A bit more Acid Jazz, but Young Disciples had one. Carleen Anderson went on to work with The Brand New Heavies.

Sade counts as well.

Lynden David Hall passed a few years back, but worth a listen.

The Gawd Omar :blessed:

Shara Nelson on 'Unfinished Sympathy' is just :whew:

But 'Back To Life" will always be the one to me.:wow:
