I understand that but I'm going by the past two seasons. All those 'exotic' blitz packages were a sham for the most part. They need a more meat and potatoes guy, ala Mike Singletary or someone in that vein. Demarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer have sort of covered for the guy, either way Ryan wasn't getting it done.

not mad at rob getting the boot though, i thought he was gonna be here blitzing like crazy and letting our upgraded secondary hold us down but instead i got 3 man blitz while a shytty defense like the redskins are blowing us and the seahawks up bringing 7 or 8 guys over and over

I hope we finally go back to the 4-3 especially since I think we gonna lose spencer. Most of the d line is more suited for the 4-3 anyway. We took up on dlineman and offensive lineman in the draft/free agency. They would just need to find a olb to pair with carter and lee. I would trade ware as well. The defense needs a complete makeover.

Rob Ryan is a gawd awful Defensive Coordinator. With the talent the Cowboys had they should have been a top 7 defense maybe top 5. He should have been fired last year.
