Nah, anybody can get it. It's just that older people or people in bad health are more likely to die from it after contracting it.

I'm sure a lot of people have already had it and it's passed in the US thinking it was a cold. Young people in good health aren't the most vulnerable, but it's scary because just think about all the older people that we might come in contact with not knowing we have it. That's why it's important for everybody to be cautious, because yeah we feel fine, but if you pass it to your elders not knowing, then that fukking sucks.

It damages the lungs of asymptomatic carriers too.

Organ scarring is another possibility too.

Just because you have no "signs" it doesn't mean that no damage was done.

I’ve posted this in a few other threads but I encourage all of you to watch and share it with your family and friends. Dude doesn’t sugar coat it, lays out in clear terms what we’re dealing with, what to expect and the best ways for everyone to help stop the spread. Here are some shorter clips if you can’t watch the whole thing

His background:
Michael T. Osterholm
is an American public health scientist and a biosecurity and infectious disease expert.[1] Osterholm is the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota and a Regents Professor, the McKnight Presidential Endowed Chair in Public Health, a Distinguished Teaching Professor in the Division of Environmental Health Sciences, School of Public Health, a professor in the Technological Leadership Institute, College of Science and Engineering, and an adjunct professor in the University of Minnesota Medical School,[2] all at the University of Minnesota.[3] He is also on the Board of Regents at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

Everybody be smart and remember, even if you’re young and healthy and it won’t affect you that much if you get it, you’re still putting your parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, and anyone with underlying health issues (diabetes, obesity, etc) at risk just by being around them. So take this seriously, if not for your sake then for them.

No one has said that. They can get it but the effects are mild.

mild? no.. just not as deadly. and young people can still die if they have weak immune systems.

there’s young people in italy on breathing machines. italy’s healthcare is a lot better than ours, imagine if younger persons need assisted breathing but there’s no way to get them it as the supplies run out?

the US is gonna end up worse then Italy, just off the fact our healthcare is complete shyt, lack of testing, lack of healthcare etc

Fam do u just like to hear urself talk? We are talking about people with STRONG immune systems. Not young people or people with weak immune systems. This response was useless. And yes. Mild Flu like symptoms.
