I got my first shot today. I'm relieved that I finally got it done. In another thread I explained all the after effects after I got covid October 2020. It took me almost a year to fully recover and start feeling normal again. I was never Anti-vax because I've taken vaccines and flu shots before. I was skeptical though. But after doing my own research I made a decision that this was best for my family. My wife takes her second dose Friday.

My wife and I have relatives on both sides who buy into all of the conspiracy theories. It's disheartening. My wife went to a family gathering and a couple of her aunt's tried to make her feel bad for getting the vaccine. They were going down the list of conspiracies, and my wife said "site your sources" and they started pulling up youtube videos.

We respect everyone's decision to take/not take the vaccine.

Test came back negative even though I had every imaginable symptom by the time I took the test. I’m good now. No idea what was going on with me there

I spoke directly with people that dealt with covid everyday.. Doctors, nurses, microbiologist, pulmonoligist. The only thing that stopped me from not getting the shot in May was me waiting to see if the symptoms would return.
