Italy has an extremely high population of elderly citizens. Italians literally live forever...so a virus like this would naturally have a higher death rate.

they may not be fool proof in protecting someone from contracting the virus but if we all wore them, I think it would lessen the likelihood of germs being aerosolised in public spaces
