New analysis finds global Covid death toll is double official estimates

A new analysis of the toll of the Covid-19 pandemic suggests 6.9 million people worldwide have died from the disease, more than twice as many people as has been officially reported.

In the United States, the analysis estimates, 905,000 people have died of Covid since the start of the pandemic. That is about 38% higher than the current death estimate from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 561,594. The new figure also surpasses the estimated number of U.S. deaths in the 1918 flu pandemic, which was estimated to have killed approximately 675,000 Americans.

The analysis was conducted by scientists at the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation.

Based off of total excess death counts and breakdowns of all cause of death changes since the previous year so it's one of the better estimates so far too.

Same study said they estimate there will only be 44,000 additional deaths in the USA between now and September. Still 2.4 million more worldwide though, with India leading the way.

Situation still dire in India. Officially reporting almost 4000 deaths a day but realistically it's 3x to 5x greater than that.

Pressure rises for India lockdown; surge breaks record again

Hospitals are straight running out of essential supplies cause the weight on the health care system has been so great, medics in one ICU fled and stranded the patients there after running out of oxygen cause they were scared they'd be attacked by families of the patients.

I don't fear any. But personally, I feel these pieces of shyt in da governmental and medical sectors should be outright about da source of da scourge instead of tryna he PC about da shyt.

Okay. But you claimed that not blaming China could "possibly have disastrous ramifications." What are the disastrous ramifications you're talking about?

Hour after number 2

Feel nothing so far, even my arm feels good. Guess it’s too early to tell

I walked into my appointment almost 2 hrs early and they took me because the place was empty m. I recommend if you don’t mind staying up late to schedule around 11/12 I was in and out in like 25 minutes vs double the time of my first shot
