Current CDC guidelines say that you should still have your mask on outdoors if you’re around a large group of people, or with people outside of your household.

Oh ok, the "large groups of people" part is what I was wondering about.

I like to occasionally take long walks through my city (Kansas City, Missouri) and damn near nobody was wearing masks, is why I asked.

Obviously everyone inside had on masks, still.

Fred.

DR
I lost both of my grandfathers and my last remaining great grandparent, my grandma's mom, to this shyt.

Great grandma lived in brooklyn and caught it from her daughter who works in a public school cafeteria. They took their time closing schools and my great aunt caught it at work and gave it to her mom. This happened back in March 2020.

My mom's dad was in DR since Christmas 2019 as usual waiting out the winter. My mom and her siblings convinced him and my grandma to stay in DR to avoid it since we from a rural area out there. He managed to escape it for almost a whole year and caught it December 2020 and died a couple weeks before Christmas.

My dad's dad just died from it april 5th right here in nyc. We don't know how he caught it since they were so careful, but it caught up to him and he died within days of testing positive.

To lose both my OGs within 4 months like that is hard. Think about them daily.

People being so careless about this because "oh if u ain't elderly u gonna be fine" as if our elderly don't deserve taking care of. fukk everybody who didn't take this seriously all year.

I don't know about yall but I was never wearing a mask outdoors.
Word. Only if I happened to find myself in a spot with a high density of people would I whip out the mask but I've been pretty good about avoiding those situations. Reminds me of people who drive around wearing their masks. Unless you're an Uber or Lyft driver, I can fathom why you would possibly need to wear a mask in your personal vehicle, especially if you dolo.:russ:

Young people are sociopaths especially when it comes to the elderly. People are young for so long they think they'll never get old until they do.
