It’s been the hardest thing to find as I just don’t think they are making it in abundance right now. One of workers at Kroger told me that it’s been a while since they actually got some in. People are resorting to getting witch hazel as that’s the only thing places seem to have.

I found some hydrogen peroxide the other day, but didn’t get it as I wasn’t sure if it could get an alcohol alternative.

Yeah i haven’t heard anything about peroxide being effective. That sucks. Hopefully you and we both can find some sooner than later.

Yup that’s the thing. People prolly be real vague about the details when they come down with this shyt becuz they don’t want people to think they been irresponsible
:heh:

I know three people who got this. Two got it kinda early. One still dealing with it now. The first knows he got it before they closed down the gym. The second thinks she got it becuz her kids who are in their late teens come in and out the house. The last thinks he got it from fukking with a couple new chicks. The crazy part is how it affected everybody different. The dude who got it from the gym is in great shape but had to be hospitalized. Felt like he was gonna die and thinks he might have permanent lung damage. The chick is a heavy smoker of weed and cigarettes and doesn’t work out. She wasn’t hospitalized and said said she never had problems breathing and the worst part by far was the fatigue. The dude who has it now also said fatigue has by far been the fatigue. He’s mad overweight too

I have it as well. I'm healthy and all my friend who caught it are also healthy ( all of us are in our 30s)

None of had to be hospitalized ( thank God )
But we all went thru it different ways.

All of us caught it back in February/March.

I was the only one with no fever and I had no loss of taste/smell, but had all the other symptoms. I tested negative in April when is was really feeling bad and had the chest issues, but tested positive once my symptoms cleared up. I still get intermittent symptoms right now, but very light and I'm pretty much 99-100% again.

My other friend had all the systems accept the breathing issues and STILL can't smell.

My other 2 friends are husband and wife. He played for the falcons in his 20s. Both are yoga instructors and began. The husband got laid out with ALL the symptoms and was on bed rest for about 3 weeks. His wife only had the lose of fast and smell and minor cold symptoms.

My doctor flat out said they don't know what we're dealing with.

The only thing I can think of is what @Stir Fry saif about viral load. The amount of the virus you get exposed to will determine how severe it will effect you. I’m in MD and the amount of positive tests have remained steady but the amount of negative tests have been going up and the the amount of hospitalizations have been going down. I can’t call it. Only thing I can think is that maybe we have been achieving some herd immunity and don’t even know it. Which obviously ain’t a bad thing. But it is much easier to get tested now tho

Yeah, in my non-scientific guessing,I don't think it's a mutation issue if its happening within social circles of people. I imagine these clusters would all be subject to the same strain more or less. I think cases are subsiding due to it being the end of flu season. Perhaps it's the increased UV and vitamin D intake people are getting due to the seasonal change. Whatever the things are that usher in the end of flu season is probably what's reducing these cases. I'm going to still be vigilant even throughout summer, because it's going to catch a lot of people being complacent once falls rolls back around. This is going to have to be the new normal for the foreseeable future. It is what it is. Tbh I've been getting way more shyt done since the virus hit, so I really dgaf if all it means is that I have to move a bit more intentional in my life. I see that as a good thing anyways. Fortunately, I've never been much of a social butterfly, so I know it's harder for people that are used to being out and about simply for social reasons.

Orange County Moves Forward With Phase 2 of Reopening

Gov. Newsom Approves Request To Have Dine-In Services Resume In O.C.

Governor Gavin Newsom on Saturday approved Orange County’s request to reopen Phase 2 businesses related to in-restaurant dining and shopping centers, provided that certain public health measures are met.

“I am happy to announce that earlier today, Orange County was able to secure approval from the State of California to reopen economically with more Stage 2 activities being permitted under Governor Gavin Newsom’s reopening framework. The people of Orange County have acted responsibly over the past several months, which have spared us a large outbreak that we have seen elsewhere,” said Vice Chairman Andrew Do, of the Orange County Board of Supervisors.

Do’s district includes Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Westminster, unincorporated Midway City, and a portion of Fountain Valley.

“We continue to see low numbers of Coronavirus cases, and because of that we have reached another milestone. Governor Newsom has allowed Orange County to resume activities, like dining in restaurants and visiting shopping centers, as long as state health measures are followed. This is a much-needed step forward for our business community and our residents,” he added.

Amid the reopening, however, public health officials in Orange County issued strong recommendations to slow the spread of COVID-19.

“The Order includes necessary preventative measures to control and reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community and help preserve the capacity in our local health care system, which was one of the metrics the California Department of Public Health took into account before approving our plan to move deeper into Stage 2 of re-opening Orange County,” said Dr. Nichole Quick, County Health Officer.

Effective Saturday, the order states that those with COVID-19 symptoms shall self isolate for a period of at least three days after they have recovered and at least ten days after their symptoms first appeared. Asymptomatic confirmed COVID-19 cases shall self isolate for a period of 10 days from the date the specimen for the positive test was obtained. The only exception includes leaving one’s place of isolation to receive medical care.

Additionally, all county residents who have been in close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 should similarly quarantine themselves in their home until 14 days from the last date they were in contact with that individual.

In addition to the above, public health officials also urged residents to continue to wear cloth face-coverings when in a public place and maintain 6 feet of physical distance from others.

“I am happy to know that we can continue moving forward in getting Orange County back to a state of normalcy. The wellbeing of our businesses, their employees and the families that rely on them are of the utmost importance,” Second District Supervisor Michelle Steel said. “I have said this before and I will say it again: every business is essential to the families and workers that rely on them to keep a roof over their head and food on the table. I continue to stand with Orange County businesses and workers as we work to transition our county back to business as usual.”

I only miss going out every now and then at this point and actually appreciate how productive this has made me. Finished learning MEAN stack, finishing up reading the MPC Bible right now so I can get nice with this thing and then diving back into the programming stuff. Got back into the trails the other night for a relaxing 8 mile run. I've noticed that people that I know that are generally creative people and work on projects outside of work are the least affected in a lot of cases like my own are thriving right now as far as getting shyt done that's been stacked up on the to do list.

The people that live on social media and thrive only when they can show IG / Snap / FB / Twitter that they're out living a faux amazing life are going through it right now, and it's fukking HILARIOUS. That facade of these perfect lives have crumbled in a matter of weeks because they can't go "out".

I'm not making light of the situation at all and have been fortunate up to this point to only have one person close to our family actually get sick (she's recovered). But I decided that when this all started that I would do everything I could to utilize any extra time that came from being on stay at home orders. And I'm thankful that I decided to follow through instead of just playing video games and joining in on Tiger King banter

Anyone here in ATL? My mans said clubs are open again and they are packed :francis::yeshrug:

Also what y’all brehs feel about long term effects of wearing masks? I have to wear one for the duration of my 9 hour shift everyday. I was told by a few folks their doctors say this isn’t good for our long term health because we’re breathing in the same air we’ve exhaled.

A little shook brehs :lupe:

As long as you brush your teeth regularly I imagine you should be fine lol

You're still taking in plenty of environmental air if it's even worth anything

they probably weren’t wearing them properly...every time I go out I see ppl wearing the mask under their nose to breathe better or under their chin to sound clearer when they speak...this includes an asian chic working in the pharmacy department @ walgreens smh...ppl are half-ass wearing these masks and treating them simply as a “fashion accessory” in some instances...in other cases ppl probably aren’t wearing suitable masks and/or reusing them too many times

Funny, because I had to pick up a prescription at Walgreens an hour ago and da gal that handed me my shyt didn't have her shyt on right and da one's at da front just had theirs off.
