Hearing that Trump is considering a travel ban on Brazil since their cases and deaths have been rising. They been increasing a lot lately and I think are third right now behind us and Russia, which also has been growing like crazy this past month or so. But I'm like :mindblown:. Now is when they want to ban travel from Brazil? I feel like this likely would've been much less dangerous if travel bans from all over were put in place a while ago. Only very important medical or personnel allowed to travel in and out of the country and bringing back citizens on vacation. You got family overseas? You can see them after the virus pass passes. Cuz who knows which countries still haven't experienced their spike and people are traveling back and forth like nothing happened. But of course the airline industry was hurting and since they so important and can't recover, they probably decided to not ban anyone except Europe and Canada. :francis:
5 million cases worldwide and growing. Won't be surprised if we reach 10 million by labor day.
Well he should do it now. Brazil is blowing up crazy.

Here is a story about Nurses dying in large numbers in brazil right now but its behind a paywall. Had someone send me the full story.
Brazil’s Nurses Are Dying as Covid-19 Overwhelms Hospitals

They should have been banned a while ago. Trump is once again sitting on his hands and wishing for the best even when data does not show that is going to happen. We've seen this story before. Why just a "consideration" at this point?

My mom went to a funeral last night, Fort Lauderdale cop that lost control of his motorcycle last week, someone related to her cousins family. And she was telling me that other than her and my dad and a few cops, that nobody else was wearing masks in the funeral home. Like people were not giving a damn unfortunately. All you can do is try and protect yourself the best you can cuz most the population not gonna care. :francis:

There was a block party in central Florida with 3000 ppl there apparently
This is why it's dangerous for these fukk ass states to spread false information. People already don't want to follow the rules, then the false sense of security put on top by government officials got ppl out here wilin

This was always going to happen in the UK.. Miserable weather most of the year, only strict lockdown measures could force people to stay inside during summer.. Lockdown is practically over I guess, all you can hope is people practice good hygiene and do their best social distancing.

Yeah it's crazy. A month ago they had 40k cases. Today they have 275k. That increase has been steady thru out these last few weeks. France and Germany have been on the decline. Looks like all the European countries like those two and Italy are starting or already are declining. Now it's new countries like Brazil and Russia that have been going up. India and Mexico I feel are gonna get crazy in the next few weeks too. Who knows where else this thing might explode. :snoop:

Juking the stats :ohhh::patrice:My folks back home that are getting sick at the chicken processing plant? Those numbers aren't being counted in the state's official count. Y'all can feel how you want about opening back up, but be cautious, brehs and brehettes. Mask up, keep your hands clean, don't touch your face.

Folks w kids - how comfortable are you sending your kids back to school? I know the school systems on this side (VA) are talking about modified schedules and maybe 1-2 days onsite. It's def not going to be a situation like the young man in Asia getting sanitized and tested before entering the building.

Breh ain't no way my young ones stepping foot into a school until this shyt gets sorted out.

Just got word from folks I know that 2 kids in a daycare here in dallas had that skin rash symptom they been talking about. With the kids developing Kawasaki like disease due to the virus. I am sure that situation is gonna be muzzled out here in Texas.

I don't care who you are most parents with little kids are nervous about having their kids back in school and day care. Just the fact that little kids can't social distance...they don't understand the concept. I mean its impossible to get 2 to 8 year olds to even comprehend that. Next having them consistantly wear masks will be difficult and finally schools and enclosed places are breeding grounds to spread viruses.

Edit - Also wanted to say I worked in a chicken processing and a meat processing plant in college. I can believe without a doubt that folks are getting sick. You work in the plant literally on top of each other.

The coronavirus is accelerating existing systems of inequality in America and making them worse. The rich getting richer...the poor getting poorer. Black people getting hit disprortionately with this disease and being left to die in hospitals because of medical racism and discrimination in healthcare. The failed for profit healthcare system really only helpring rich privileged whites. "Essential" workers pretty much are treated like expendable slaves for their corporate overlords as they net record profits during a pandemic. And white people "protesting" the right to go out and be serviced by poor minorities who they see themselves as lesser than and not deserving of the right to be healthy...they believe they should be sacrificed for the country's economy cause they're weak and useless anyways...unless it's making lazy ass white people richer.

This virus done ripped America's clothes off and exposed how ugly that bytch really is....
you hate to see it.
