Has anyone gone to the dentist or had a doctor's appointment since this lockdown started? I was scheduled to have a teeth cleaning but.......I'm kinda shook.

I went to my annual check up on Tuesday. Before I was let into the building I was giving a tag, mask and asked several Covid questions. After I got into the building they told me to not remove my mask until I was outside of the building.

They just took extra precautions.

They even slid me 2 extra masks

House votes on the second stimulus package today

Its a good chance it will pass, but they're saying even if it does pass, the senate is going to shoot it down

Republicans don't wanna have to give out another round of stimulus checks because they already lined their pockets and their friends pockets with the first one, so now its time for them to fall back and be fiscally responsible, you know conservative values

Now if they come to an agreement on a new bill with enough goodies for them, we may see another round of stimulus checks. But you know, its all for the greater good of the American citizens

The republicans are shooting it down because there are no protections for business owners. People are going to claim they got covid from their workplace and try to sue, and repubs want to make sure business owners (small and large) are protected from those lawsuits, which the democrats oppose.

To simply say the repubs won’t go for it because they lined their pockets already is babble.

The problem with that though is that by giving the business owner protection, it could make it less likely that they would take the necessary precautions to ensure the protection of their employees. You see it now where people are walking out of their jobs over safety. Imagine what would happen if that law passed.

I agree, it’s definitely a tough situation for both sides as the businesses and the employees both need some type of protection. I can see business being irresponsiblE with their safety procedures if their protected, but I can also see tons of lawsuits from lawyers/employees looking for a loophole or weakness, which can cause a business to close and lay-off more employees.

I don’t even think they know the solution to the situation, which is I think this next stimulus is going to take a while before finally passed.
