Y'all nikkas love putting word's in nikkas Mouth, that's a female trait. Y'all stop that hoe shyt I was talking about the Stanford article and Twitter post on a Bay Area County. For God's sake y'all really act like females in here. Reading Comprehension is a lost skill

1) was the Twitter post say out of a million people in Contra County only 25 is effected? That's great news.

2) that Stanford article is written by some of the greatest medical minds in the world and one of the world's greatest medical school and hospital

3) Back to our people dying. It's nobody fault but ours, It's time we need to start holding ourselves accountable for our actions and diet. After many years we been known our eating is bad due to wickedness American history treating us. But that's no excuse we been told by our Holy Books how to eat, there's books from Elijah Muhammad, after many years we was told to go back to our roots of healthy eating. We continue to smoke, drank liquor, eating pork and processed food. We got to much information now from books, medical literature, Science from our ancestors and modern day black herbalist, scientists, Doctors ect. It's time to we take responsibility of our community and health.

A holistic diet and washing hands alone is not a 100% cure to the virus.

Anyone else temporarily stop watching the news? Havent tuned in for 4 days or so. Was completely burnt out
I only watch PBS Newshour. That is my daily dose of news outside of stuff I see online.

At least there is a variety of stories. More human interest stories, serious interviews, and less focus on theatrics that you get on 24/7 cable news.

even before Corona, I limit myself to 30 minutes to an hour and that's if I'm reading articles

pandemic or not, reading and giving constant information in the time of crisis or just bad news in general ain't good for your mentals, it'll drive you crazy

hope you doing better tho breh

My news is basically when Cuomo updates NY on what's happening and that's because he interrupts Maury. Besides that I try to fill my schedule with stuff to watch so I won't need to watch the news.

I was watching around the clock for at least 3 weeks and finally had had enough. Been binge watching one show on netflix the past however many days. Waiting for dark side at 10

Seems like as NY decreases, a lot of these other states are seeing their climb and we are still about to see 2k a day even with significantly lower NY cases and deaths. New York for a while was making up the bulk of those numbers but now it seems that as NY decreased the following states are now going through their peaks or on their way up: IL, FL, ID, MI, CT, MD. Also CA seems to be picking back up

This was predicted to happen if we don't have a uniform policy nationally :francis:

this is good it seems at least some nyc citizens following fukking orders...:stopitslime:

Clinically it makes no difference it’s for a public health response. You can flatten the curve by hand washing, social distancing. Pulse oximeters can be done by using your moblie phone. Also if you are doing mass testing you need to make sure people are quarantining themselves.

-

Flatten the curve is a simplification. Not sure why people tend to think in binary on/off so much. You can "flatten the curve" by 1 person staying at home. It is a question of degree and a question of how many people get sick / die.

"You can flatten the curve by hand washing, social distancing" but can you flatten it enough? See Germany, Nz or Australia. Even Sweden is doing more than just "washing hands and socially distancing". That is why I said "less infection".

There are at least two important thresholds in R-naught reduction,

1. value 1.0
2. the capacity of your health care.

Ideally you want to meet both or at least be close in the case of "1".

Which country has shown that just "hand washing and social distancing" is enough?

-

"Pulse oximeters can be done by using your moblie phone"? Really. I have my iPhone ready. Can you or @BenchPressPapi send me instructions of how to get a reading using it?

-

"if you are doing mass testing you need to make sure people are quarantining themselves."? Some nations behave like children and some like adults.
