I said "to the vast majority of americans" the ramifications are no different than the flu. The numbers indicate that the vast majority are either asymptomatic or experience mild symptoms. Anything else is an outlier. This isnt just my opinion I'm basing this on the numbers. 80% of reported cases are mild cases so far.

Apparently it’s a lot more contagious than the flu though which makes it a lot more dangerous

do y’all really think all these countries wanted to destroy the global economy just out of extreme caution?

last I checked people still go to basketball games, concerts and other large gatherings flu season after flu season

if we continued to do those things during this pandemic the death toll would be crazy

Cases are now really slowing down everywhere. I expect by the end of the month, the lockdown will be over and by June everything will be back to normal again. Phew

that's because of the lockdown, once it is lifted there will be a second wave

Just admit youre enjoying this. Seems like any positive news or trend is met with "well that 2nd wave will surely show them." I feel like too many people are rooting for this shyt to get worse and worse and putting all sorts of bad energy out there.

This may well be true but coronavirus is far more contagious and puts extra pressure on healthcare providers. So this winter you may well have more people dying of the flu and other diseases because there isn't the capacity to treat them.

my bro in law is younger than me with no underlying conditions and corona virus almost got him out of here (he good now)

my friends mom had to be hospitalized and she under 65 (She good now)

my other friend lost a family member in his 40s to corona virus

I don’t get these kinda calls during flu season beloved lol

which means one of two things

Corona virus is generally more dangerous than the flu

or

corona virus can potentially infect way more people than the flu can thus making it more dangerous than the flu
