Fox News analyst Andrew Napolitano blasts Jared Kushner's virus 'surveillance' system

Jared Kushner, a top White House adviser and President Trump’s son-in-law, and his coronavirus-fighting team are reaching out to health technology companies about creating a national surveillance system to track the spread of the pandemic, according to a report.

The monitoring system would provide the government a near-real-time view of where people were being treated and whether hospitals have the capacity to treat them, Politico reported Tuesday.

The information would help the government determine in which areas of the country social distancing guidelines should be relaxed or bolstered.

The plan by Kushner’s White House task force, which is separate from the team Vice President Mike Pence heads up, would collect information from multiple private-sector databases and would allow the government to pinpoint medical resources where they are most needed, the report said.

“It allows you to be much more targeted and precise in how you engage,” one person involved in the discussions told Politico. “They need data to make the policy decisions, and so that’s what we and others now have been asked to do.”

But some critics fear what effect the collection of sensitive health information in a national database would have on civil liberties once the virus subsides, and compare it to the Patriot Act that was enacted after the 9/11 attacks giving the government expanded surveillance power.

“This is a genuine crisis — we have to work through it and do our best to protect people’s health,” Jessica Rich, a former director of the Federal Trade Commission’s consumer protection bureau, told the website. “But doing that doesn’t mean we have to destroy privacy.”

The White House declined comment, the report said, but Kushner adviser Avi Berkowitz said the report was “false.”

“This story makes no sense and is completely false. The White House gets many unsolicited random proposals on a variety of topics, but Jared has no knowledge of this proposal or the people mentioned in this article who may have submitted it,” he said in a statement to Politico.

it’s sad but a lot of doctors have no idea about this virus since it’s new and how to treat patients and are trying to just figure things out along the way as they go because it seems a lot are confused about the symptoms and the affects it’s having on patients.
We’ve gone from thinking ARDS and not giving fluids to thinking it’s a vascular type disease along with the virus attacking red blood cells and giving fluids and full dose anti coagulation. It’s changing minute by minute

holy shyt, only 0.7% of the american population have been tested.
Is this true????

If that's true then infection results mean absolutely nothing, and flattening the curve means nothing too
u think every single person in the world can be tested ? or wants to be tested ? shyt u know how some of these old folks dont fukk with hospitals they dont wanna know they got anything they rather die...its virtually impossible....there's ppl dying in their homes not being accounted for...and what about the homeless and the people in jail ?? this shyt is real fukked up...unless there's a clear cut vaccine that works 100% this is gonna get real ugly

Not true.

Once you get past a certain percentage of immunity in a population the disease can no longer spread effectively throughout that population. This is the so-called "Herd Immunity". In the case of Covid19 they calculate that to be 70-odd percent. I personally think that is a bit low but the principle holds.

For measles HI is 95%
"One person with measles, for instance, could infect up to 18 other people in a susceptible population. To get that transmission rate all the way down to less than one, almost everyone in the population needs to act as a buffer between an infected person and a new potential host. That’s why measles needs such a high rate of herd immunity—around 95 percent."
The U.K. backed off on herd immunity. To beat COVID-19, we’ll ultimately need it.

It means you have fewer people putting additional load on the health system at the same time.

Yup. Been saying this shyt for a minute now. That’s why my theory is that this is really the second wave of this that everyone is talking about and saying it would be worse. shyt was mild in the fall and they tried to tell us some strange vaping illness was going on. All those people that had a really bad flu or upper respiratory infection. Now your starting to see other countries like Japan get hit with their second wave
:francis:

Completely forgot about that vaping illness shyt :ohhh:

and that was end of nov to dec.

so yeah you're most likely right.. this shyt is the second wave

I remember when I used to go down to Oklahoma to my grandparents who lived in the Country when I was a kid for the summer, my grandma used to watch Kenneth Copeland. His show used to come on right after Cartoons went off. I swear he was in his 70's when I was a kid and I will be 30 next month so how the hell is he still alive :mindblown:
