It isn't as bad because of the unprecedented global lockdowns taking place. Also I've never heard of the common flu overwhelming hospitals all at once. There are clear distinctions between this and the flu. I agree that we shouldn't panic and fear monger. We also shouldn't be comparing this to the flu either because it isn't.

also this is a novel virus. The flu has been around forever. There is no guarantee that there will be an effective vaccine created for this. I know fear mongering is bad but downplaying shyt based on absolutely nothing is equally as bad in my book.

i see alot of people getting "fear" confused with "respect". nikkas aint scared...its respect for something that may be bigger than us.
all you have to do is look throughout history and see that real shyt happens.....often...that changes everything

this is true. I think this is worse than the flu, however, we still have flu vaccine and still lose a crapload of people each year. That’s the interesting thing.
