Totally anecdotal but I have definitely noticed A LOT more ambulances running around, all hours of the day and night. Its possible

TBH, herd immunity just refers to when a large enough percentage of the population becomes immune to an infection, either by previous exposure or vaccination, which then provides a degree of protection to the remaining people. I think the way he went about it probably wasn't ideal (let everyone get infected on the front end) but the same thing is going to happen here in concept just over an extended period of time by flattening the curve. The goal is still to achieve "herd immunity" by definition when enough people get infected (or down the road vaccinated) to prevent sustained transmission/outbreaks, etc.same clown who was pushing for herd immunity.

I live in Queens and there has been a huge uptick in the ambulances I hear, especially early AM.
You can see it's ambulances from outside the neighborhood too... alot coming from Wyckoff which is in Brooklyn transporting to Elmhurst in Queens is what I assume.

Maybe folk will take it seriously. I was out today to go get my blood checked and so many people out for a stroll no mask or gloves. People not taking this seriously man. I felt disgusting out there. Gloves and had a mask on and could not wait to get home.
Going on week 4 I been outside twice. STAY THE fukk HOME.
