Secondly you can no longer trust the american people to elect intelligent people in the white house.
The next nominee looks like it will be Biden, someone who can barely finish sentences and constantly loses his train of thought.

We need experts at the helm of this permanently.
Permanently meaning even when there is not an active pandemic. Because more will come and antibiotics will soon no longer work and you'll have superbugs.
no president can handle this and the american people, on both sides, cannot be trusted to elect some who even remotely can handle it.

This is a great premise but this is a pipe dream because even if the blue states where the populous cities lives and elects environmentalists doctors, physicians, scientists to senate and the house those rednecks in numerous backwater states that dont believe in science will fukk everything up look at scumbags like mitch mcconell these cacs keep on voting for cac scumbags dumb muthafukkas that put their own lives at risk, all because they are white or want to keep the blacks in line or mexicans out... as long as you have an abundance of dumbass cacs in the voting booths it wont change they will be our collective demise.

So I watched today's potus speech and Fauci and them
and what I thought is this

Some countries have a president and a prime minister
in the U.S. there's just a president who is also commander and chief
In canada it's a parliamentary system and there's just a prime minister.

What should be happening going forward is as far as pandemics is concerned
A new body should be created with experts at the head of it, and they manage everything pandemic related
The president or PM have no decision making power in their decisions.
And congress/senate decides how much funding they get not potus.
Even after or before pandemics, they keep studying that shyt and they stockpile PPEs and shyt.

No. The problem with this country is you got

1 president

50 states with 50 governors

100 state senators
Over 40 reps in the house
Mayors

Local, city, state police and municipalities.

2 divided political parties

Hundreds of lobbyists

I can agree with some of that, but I still think it all starts with a 4th branch of govt. dealing with pandemics, diseases, drugs, antibiotics and superbugs.

But ya man fukkin rednecks, I just finished watching Ozarks, binged watched all 3 seasons within say I dunno maybe a week and a half.
And season 1 was painful to watch, wayyyy too much white trash YUK!!!

The difference between Trump and a guy like Biden is Biden is smart enough to defer to the experts. Trump is not. Trump is also a despicable human being. The biggest problem is how he even got there in the first place. He should have never made it. I'm still disgusted by that.

No other leader (save for a dictator) would go against what the experts say during a pandemic . This is more an issue with Trump and the American public. You can't fix stupid.

I saw a tweet from a researcher about this and commented on it in this thread a couple pages back. I think it’s been around longer than that, and it’s far less severe than has been feared. Perhaps due to the other factors I listed above. We are far and away in better respiratory health than the Chinese.
