this seems to be the new narrative that people on the right are pushing. I’m not getting into whether it’s right or wrong (most brehs who know me on here know where I stand)

But if people actually run with this, and decide “I don’t need to quarantine or shut my business, fukk that”

this could be a very dangerous narrative

I don't think it's a dangerous narrative. The New York Times is getting killed for their heat map which uses statistics improperly and doesn't take into account differences if geography.

This has been shown in the data as early February

It spares the very young under 18, kids under 10 are especially likely to survive and people 70+ have the highest deaths. If I remember correctly from the data I saw, those 10 and under had no deaths back in February.

It is quite suspicious how it seems less contagious amongst younger children and China’s low death rate while a few other countries currently have death rates well above five percent. Maybe their response was just that much better or they’re lying. Only time will tell.

It is probably both. China, as we found out for sure yesterday, is definitely lying. But at the same time, they did literally weld people into their apartments to prevent them from leaving and disinfect entire streets and took a lot of more draconian measures not surprising under a dictatorship that we aren't taking. Not arguing we do this, but the fact they are showing a different trend and may not have as high a death rate relative to the population size compared to the west isn't surprising given what they've done.

It's a mutated form of a corona virus which is carried by bats. It is not identical to that carried by bats.

The theory is that the virus mutated when it was passed through another animal - possibly a pangolin.

That final mutated virus was then passed on to humans.

The final mutated virus is 97.x% (IIRC) the same as the one in bats.
