The novel coronavirus, which causes the respiratory disease COVID-19, has become the No. 3 cause of death in the U.S., following heart disease and cancer.

According to a new graph published by Dr. Maria Danilychev, who practices in San Diego, COVID-19 has moved past accidents, chronic lung disease, strokes, Alzheimer's, diabetes, flu and pneumonia, and kidney disease as the third most likely cause of death in the U.S.

The graph uses data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the daily average cause of death and compares this with COVID-19 statistics from Worldometers.info. According to the graph, 748 people per day die from COVID-19 in the U.S., compared with 1,641 cancer deaths and 1,774 heart disease fatalities.

Coronavirus is the No. 3 cause of death in the U.S., after heart disease and cancer

I was speaking for the strong and healthy people of the world. even a regular cold can have a drastic effect on a senior citizen. But the facts haven't changed. For the majority of people, this is still a MILD illness. Even the doctors and scientists agree with that. And so do all of the stats. The weak will have a tough time but 99% of the strong people out here will only show minor symptoms or none at all. So Yes. Once again. For most People this will be no worse than a regular cold. For the weak and vulnerable. It's gonna be tougher. Same with any other illness that's out there right now. Nothing has changed in that regard.

"that's the same with any other illness" you said. "This sounds no worse than a regular cold" you said.

but it is not having the same effect "as regular cold" is it... ?

:ufdup:And numbers are still going up.

While most people are locked up at home.

What would the numbers be like if everyone was still living as normal? Many thousands per day for sure with a total overload of medical care functions.

When did "a regular cold" do those numbers :dahell: ?

Let's keep it a buck. This sounds no worse than a regular cold. Most of us and our families should be able to fight it off with no issues whatsoever. The sick and elderly are the ones who are most at risk, but that's the same with any other illness. My grandparents are both strong as hell so I'm not that worried. People are trying to make this seem like some word war z shyt where you're gonna start coughing up blood and go senile. Chances are most of us will never get infected. And even if we do, we'll probably never show any symptoms and beat it with no problems.

About:

~0.8 - 1.6% die.
~4% get severe symptoms and need hospitalization.
~14% need medical aid.
~20% get non-trivial symptoms.

IIF the medical system is not overloaded.
