Tbh, I'm not above assigning appropriate blame on China but this is what I was worried about. What is going on in the US government is an attempt to shroud its own failures and continued failures by shifting blame to China. As already pointed out, a lot of other countries took it more seriously and enacted measures immediately curtail this. Our administration is filled with people, who don't take anything seriously. There is no excuse but again, this isn't only Trump, at several state levels too. But this is a national issue and requires a national response currently lacking. So Pence is blaming the CDC and China for the US response delay
Then they want to divert attention to what supposedly the news media said at a particular point and time. Ignoring the fact the administration has access to intelligence and information far outside of the scope of the media but remember that we saw this coming at the beginning when Trump was known not to read daily briefings, spend an inordinate amount of time watching Fox News, and this administration is now showing what happens when you have an aloof disconnected and in constant campaign mode person in office.
fukk China, but at the end of the day, we pay tax dollars to the US government in order to act in our interests. Not the Chinese. If we're relying on the Chinese to have our best interest in heart, then our government is fukking up.
