It can pretty much go with anything.

Cooking time depends on the type of couscous you have.

Is that better? :beli:

Isreali couscous is made from wheat flour (sometimes mixed with semolina) while the other couscous is made from just semolina which reflects their cooking time.

Either you choose to believe it or you don't :francis: but there is a difference.

how do you cook it and whats some good things to put with it? :lupe:

I like to have Moroccan style couscous. It taste so much better when you add a meat based broth to it, along with the salt, pepper and butter. It goes so good with marinated grilled meat (chicken or lamb is the best) smothered in herbed tomato sauce.

My mother in law makes it as a dessert with some a little cinnamon, raisins and almonds.. (I'm not crazy about it though).

Saute a little onion, then add in a little crushed garlic to the saute. Then add your chick broth (i use stock usually but it's time consuming) and boil it all together. You add the couscous and take it off the heat and just let it sit there covered till the liquid soaks up.
I usually use a kabob style marinade if grilling or something more simple if putting it in the oven for the chicken or lamb , then for the sauce, just throw together some herb/spices in the tomato sauce and that's it.

I'm hungry...
