If you can get past the religious themes, this is a pretty cool album, I'm not even a christian and I love it, shyt has like 5 star reviews across the board
Its a little creepy too

This old Gospel Country album from 1959 by these guys The Louvin Brothers, they were raised super fire and brimstone christian and it translated over into their music. Its one of the classic country albums though(5 stars across the board in every review) that established a lot of the standards and practices still used in country music today, like I said, if you can get past the religious message, its actually a really good country album. Also, once again, its so fire and brimstone christian that its actually kind of creepy, sounds like something the killer in some 80s Slasher flick would be listening too. The cover is pretty ridiculous too.what the fukk is that?
Kinda crazy both the Louvin brothers were really troubled dudes but put together an album with these kinds of themes, kind of makes you thinkLouvin was notorious for his drinking and short temper. He married four times, his third wife having shot him multiple times in the chest and hand after he allegedly beat her. He died on June 20, 1965 when a drunken driver struck his car in Williamsburg, Missouri. At the time, a warrant for Louvin's arrest had been issued on a DUI charge.
