True but at least if you buying expensive rare art that's 5 million dollars plus, you can trade/sell that art and make money off it. A lot of art increases in value overtime as well. Still foolish to a broke nikka like me but at least it's still VALUE in it.

There's no value in an 18 million dollar "diamond" watch because those diamonds are atrifically marked up on price. Since it"s "flooded" in diamonds, dumb negros like Floyd think it's worth more and get duped. Realistically, a watch like that is probably worth less than a million dollars

Legit art appreciates. Diamonds dont

You’re missing the point. I never said they don’t live lavishly, they’re mainly for the most part not ostentatious about it. That’s how New money acts. I’ll get called a hater but people who have to floss their wealth in that manner are usually insecure.

One of my friends is a CEO and we went out for lunch a while ago. Dude was dressed casually. No jewellery, no designer clothes, just a standard watch. He always told me he has no need to dress to impress because who the fukk is he trying to impress when he’s the CEO?
All that typing:russ:
And I don’t even fukk with Floyd like that..
Let me break it down for you..
ITS NOT YOUR fukkING MONEY..
Yall looking real funny in the light calling him a dumb nikka..
Like there ain’t no black CEO’s, COO’s, Hedge Fund managers, etc out here blowing money on stupid shyt..
Y’all looking real:mjpls:
Stop looking to black entertainers to become leaders or invest back into the community..
We, the normal working class, need to be looking at each other, building and educating our loved ones and friends..
Y’all typing all that bullshyt and it means nothing..
Stop looking at the next mans pocket..
If he goes broke..
I still got to take care of my mother, my wife and family..
Not worried about some nikka I’m never going to meet..
Again that “dumb nikka” shyt quote..
Ain’t no better than when these mayo skin bytches talking shyt and acting like we not supposed to be where they are..
Partaking in the same luxuries as they do without any scrutiny..
The same muthafukkas that you think are saving money and wisely investing are out here..
Spending mad bread on:
Women
Cars
Trips
Stealing from other rich people
Into weird sex
All kinds of shyt you are not privy too.
I used art just as an example for what some people blow money on..
I’m very aware of art being an investment but y’all took it way to literal:mjlol:
Use that same energy and call Johnny Depp names when this goofy muthafukka just blew through 650ms:sas2:
Have the same energy towards Nicholas Cage:sas2:
Always on a high horse when it comes to black people..
But quiet as a fukking mouth when these white boys out here pissing money away:sas1:
These entertainers ain’t going to save you nor do they care about you..
Not my problem when they go broke...:hubie:

Shytty ass watch probably got the same Chinese movement as a $10 eBay watch. Couldn’t get a Black jeweler and give them some shine (and better style than that gaudy joo shyt), I guess:francis:...and there are some:

https://www.essence.com

And I almost felt sorry for his ass when Conner “Mick”Greggor clowned him on stage about his shytty style....

If you don't want people to comment on your purchases, don't show it off on a public platform. Mayweather is free to spend his money however he pleases, and if he decides to show it off to the world on instagram, not everyone will think it was a particularly savvy purchase financially speaking. We're always talking about how we need to 'have our own' and yet when a lot of the men in our community get money, they can't wait to dump the fruits of all their hard work into the laps of other races in exchange for shiny rocks and metal or trick it off with women who couldn't care an iota about them.

Y'all do realize his net worth is like $700M right? $18M is less than 3 percent of that.

In regular people numbers that about $1000 to an average person that makes $40K/yr

That is literally nothing to him. He'll be fine.

There's a difference between money earned and net worth, unless he hasn't spent a dime or have to pay taxes.

He should be able to spend 18m on a watch imo...i wouldn't but i have not lost sight of what a buck actually means to a lot of people so i would spend money to make money for my day ones or empower those around me..thats 18m i would be ok with spending. A watch just seems so frivolous when you realise that you will impress only once with that watch and then it will be just another overpriced watch on the wrist of someone that is way more inspiring then the watch he wears..feels redundant to me when your arguably the best to ever do it..he doesn't need gimmicks like this
