Stop with the blackball bullshyt. I guess all of NY is pretty much being black balled? 50's whole aesthetic is just outdated and unwanted by this generation. The new generation doesn't care if you was really in the streets and put in work. All that matters is the music. The south is dominating radio because it has melodies and sonics. People just want to turn up and party right now. No one wants to hear duck tales about NY nikkas in timbs and camo talking about massacring entire neighborhoods and dealing tons of cocaine in the safest big city in America. NY nikkas can't go to the corner store without getting a cavity search and were supposed to believe they living like Scarface? If you want to make street music, you have to do it like the south. Have fun with it, make an even balance, and most importantly don't take yourself to seriously. NY street rappers like Maino and Styles just seem mad insecure and childish.
