If Schmeling vs Louis happened in our times, it wouldn't be a question but I feel like these two gawds throwing bombs is honestly the most entertainment filled fight we could expect in the last thirty plus years. Is there any matchup we could see in this era that could even come close?

In terms of excitement I doubt it, you would need two high profile fighters to put their wellbeing on the line and there are few that are willing to do so.

Golovkin seems like he will risk it all but then when he faced someone who could possibly hurt him (Lemeiux) he boxed smartly. Don't see it happening

Closest fight that comes to mind is Corrales vs Castillo I. I don't think two fighters in their prime right now are willing to fight that kind of fight.

Nah I don't think they were but that's the thing. I also think Canelo vs Golevkin could potentially be a war that ends quickly.
