I love Excel

If you're dealing with large datasets though, learn basic MS Access. Trying to open up a 5MB excel file with all sorts of formulas and macros

Got my first gig out of college simply cuz I knew Access and Excel.

Just take 2-3 hours and really LEARN IT

After that, youll be fine

Once you know the formulas, the only challenge IMO is making the charts look "presentable". Thats an actual pain in the ass

Yeah, you can do ALOT of shyt in Excel. I had a managerial stat class in college which was 100% Excel based and I was at how much Excel can do. I still use it at work daily to do budgets, status reports etc but not as thorough as I have in the past.

I love Excel. I've recently started using VB/macros a lot more to make my job easier
