DeSantis will either pick some nutty Sarah Palin-esque female conservative or he will pick some barely more moderate cheeky looking guy--possibly Latino...--just to balance out his extremist campaign with swing voters a bit.

But dude is all the party got and he is toast with his post-Trump politics. The thrill been gone. Trump is not a not a political challenge anymore at all. Republicans need to push a strong young moderate, and maybe let some extremist Trump conservative play the backseat role for the hard righters, but they are so absorbed with their extreme views, out-of-control media apparatus, and most rabid voters that I don't see the party switching up in time.
