yeah people have short memories.

Agreed.
Funny how quick people are to overrate things.

The Mavs team of this year was nothing compared to last year's team.
Lakers this year are no better and probably worse (no Phil or LO) than last year's squad that got swept in the 2nd round.
Spurs were great this year, but still not as good as their 4 title years imo, esp considering Duncan is well past his prime.
And if they face and beat Boston, you could say the same about that team.

And that's not said to knock Durant, he's been nasty , lets just keep some perspective.

I've been saying this. They trying to turn Durant into something that he ain't.

The same goes for Kobe, Lebron and everyone who played the game of basketball.

unless you dropping 100 points every game, then you aren't playing 1 vs. 5. Every great player needs a good/great set of players around him to win a title, history don't lie.

Individuals win MVP awards, Teams win Championships.

KD ain't going to no NBA finals without Harden or Westbrook.

I love Hakeem. My dad played football with him when they were kids.

No one cares about those 4 losers and Shaq. OKC are beating champions.

:beli:

hakeem beat all those guys in their primes (outside of shaq)

shaq/david robinson/stockton/malone/barkley

thats arguably 5 top 30 players of all time in one run.

duncan hasn't been first team all-nba in 5 years. spurs havent won a ring in 5 years
lakers lost in the 2nd round last year
mavs didnt even try to defend their title, they wanted to clear up cap space

okc is having a great run, but just cuz they beat some past their prime former champs doesn't make it better than hakeem

I feel like this run is being turned into something it's not. To win a chip you're going to go through a future hall of famer in almost all cases. The Mavs this year weren't the Mavs of last year; the Spurs team that won the championship was yeas ago, last year they went out in the first round, and this Lakers teams was gay as fukk. The Mavs made a more interesting run just last year.

THAT POST MADE NO SENSE.
OKC TAKING OUT nikkaS PAST THEIR PRIMES
IS SUPPOSED TO BE BETTER THAN TAKING OUT HOF DURING THEIR PRIMES?
THIS SAME nikka JUST TRIED TO DISCREDIT ZEKE FOR WHAT HE DID IN THE LATE 80S
WHEN THOSE GUYS WEREN'T 10 YEARS DEEP,
BUT GASSES UP THIS shyt
EVEN nikkaS BEEN IN THE L 12-16 YEARS.

honestly dawg, im just shytting on Malone/Stockton/Barkley/Robinson. I love Hakeem:thumbsup:

What OKC is impressive as hell tho, in terms of the symbolism. They are putting the nail into the coffin for these teams of the last era.

Kobe's not done. :shaq2: We'll see them in WCF next year.

I love Kobe, you know that. But its over, not for him being a top 5 player but for that team and franchise as long as Jim Buss is running things.

This is true but that's because we're witnessing a true changing of the guard.

When you stop to consider that the only teams to represent the West in the finals in the last 14 YEARS have been LA, San Antonio and Dallas...no other team since the Jazz in '98...and those 3 teams w/ the same respective superstar they've had at the helm are the 3 that OKC went through to finally break the streak. It's some screenplay shyt. And obviously if they win it all they will be going through another previous champion and Finals mainstay.

Yes, but do you not agree that the Lakers are gay as fukk?
