As great as The Cosby Show was, no one on the main cast really blew up though most of them had other projects.

Why is this a big deal, most people don’t do one show and coast off of it for the rest of their lives unless it’s something massive like Friends. He got a job that probably allows flexible hours or shift swapping with benefits so he can still do his craft while not having to turn into one of those actors you hear about that winds up on the street.
