over the last 50 years, tax payers have paid half a TRILLION dollars ($676 billion) to bail out banks, automakers, airlines, and more

here are examples of big companies that got bailed out
General Motors: $49.5 billion
Chrysler (2008): $10.5 billion
Fannie Mae: $116 billion
Freddie Mac: $71 billion
AIG: $180 billion
United Airlines: $1.5 billion
American Airlines: $1.5 billion
Chrysler (1980): $1.5 billion (Chrysler's earlier bailout)

these companies have CEOs earning over 100x the income of their workers. if they work 100x times harder than everyone else, they shouldn't be bailed out when the fail and steer companies so badly they need to be bailed out

if i don't pay my credit card and mortgage, the bank won't bail me out. why the fukk are we paying for corporations to be on welfare. why the fukk are they paying LESS taxes than us. shyt is retarded

and that's why America is on its last legs. shyt like this.

But try to give the people some bread, and its bootstraps.

Greed is a 7 deadly sin for a reason. And history shows that greed always takes down empires.

USA had a good run

They will always take care of those companies before they worry about the regular Joe.

That's just the reality of the current system man has created.

The individual is just a cog in the wheel to them.

But like the man above said.....It's going to crash and burn.

I dont completely disagree with you...
but those companies hire people and add to the economy

individuals are corporations alike are responsible for the financial crises...
nobody can really point fingers because there was bad behavior all around

if you dont pay your credit card and mortgage you can file for bankruptcy and walk away...
so yes you can get a bailout

CEOs make that money because they have a special skillset and only a few can perform at that level

America's been doing this since 1950

they bombed countries that have resources, installed dictators or puppets that roll with them, and get their money up

brother, i have been in board of directors and c-suite meetings

these nikkas do not have a special skillset. i'd say 1 in about 10 CEOs actually knows intricate details about their companies or works hard enough to earn, again, over 100 TIMES the average worker

can you really sit there and say in 11 SECONDS a CEO works harder than a single father who works 20 YEARS

Its way more than that. In 2008 TARP alone was $700 Billion. If going back 50 years you also need to also adjust for inflation. During COVID, the FED had a $750 Billion dollar Corporate Bond buying program. You have to remember, they were buying Bonds from the likes of Alphabet, MS, Amazon, etc who were making record profits at the time due to the lockdowns. Most of those corporations turned around and bought back their own stock. It was something like $40 Billion per week. I keep telling people, Wall St. got far more out of those stimulus packages than citizens did. I'm expecting a commercial real estate bailout next.

I'm expecting a SLAB bailout. The next generation of people will just not pay student loans. What the fukk are they going to do? Jail everyone? Time to bush both parties and vote a labor one in with unions front and center. Corporations hate them because they force their lazy fat asses to take care of employees

We'd get a better return from a Student Loan bailout, than a Commercial Real Estate bailout. What's funny is a Commercial Real Estate bailout is really just another bank bailout. Many commercial real estate owners can just hand over the deed and walk away from the property, leaving the bank holding the bag.

You know y'all talk a lot about Corporations, but really it's American people in general. Maybe I'm on social media too much, but it seems like everybody wanna be a boss, everybody wanna be famous, everybody shyts on 9 to 5. Look around who you work with, how many do you think won't hesitate to step on you for a raise or to be the next CEO? :francis: :sas2:

A lot of companies start off good till that new money comes in.

This entire country is money hungry, Corporations just got the upper hand. And I bet if you cut off one head, another rises

Everything you listed in the first paragraph is programmed behavior. People were just fine getting enough to have a house, clothe and feed themselves, and have some kids. During the last few decades of Hollywood indoctrination have people now had an insatiable need for fame and money
But you know why right?
It’s cause everyone wants to be the god in “in god we trust”

I’ve learned that’s the ultimate goal of global corporatism, becoming god, which means you end up becoming a demon because you’re still only human no matter how much power you have

The bones of the ancestors laying at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean disagree.

The souls of the indigenous people massacred at wounded knee disagree.

Whatever is left of indigenous Hawaiians disagree.

The spirits of the mezoamericans disagree.

The people killed in Cambodia and Vietnam for literally no reason other than to further an American politician's career disagree.

The children being orphaned every day by American made weapons in Gaza disagree.

As reverend Wright said. America's chickens are coming home to roost.

And America's wealthy have built a very comfortable coop for them. This country won't end with a bang. It will end with a whimper as it slowly shrinks into irrelevance or destroys itself in a final orgy of violence and resentment literally hundreds of years in the making.
