My casino is closing for two weeks and we are getting paid, but I found out today my department is essential in the building. The boss is looking for 4 employees to volunteer to work through the closure.

If I say yes, it's 12 hour days 3 days a week, so no vacation, but if I don't work I won't get paid if the casino can't reopen after the two weeks. If I work, I will be guaranteed full pull for however long the casino is closed. I wonder how long this is going to last

Should know a lot more in the next couple of weeks, but that doesnt help you now. With how inept our government is and americans being dumb I wouldn't be surprised for it to be a while for casinos to be operating as normal

Hopefully 6 people throw their name in the hat and you dont get picked and still stay on the payroll indefinitely. Only you know your situation; age, overall health, elderly family needing me, how much I need the money, and overall risk for exposure would be my factors.. gl

I'm not the smartest on monetary policy but printing more money and giving out battling won't that devalue the dollar ? Not saying we don't need the bailouts we absolutely do. But someone like me, I'm a firemen, I'm going to keep working through this and get paid, my wife is a teacher on maternity leave but she'll have her job come September. I almost don't want the money just for the good of the nation, I'm not someone in dire need line majority of the country will be. That said I do want the money for my two kids lol
