CDC’s position should be countered by exploiting the science and our clear capabilities of fully containing the virus

Topol's suggestions:
- 5-day isolation is too short
- fully vaccinated should be boosted, to push boosters above the current 32% in the US
- second boosters above the age of 50
- CDC should push community transmission map, instead of the community level metric for serious illness, because the transmission leads to long COVID
- remaining effective monoclonal antibodies were given only to 400k people, while the US purchased 1.7m doses. Those doses should be given to vulnerable, because these monoclonal antibodies might not be effective against a new variant
- research for general nasal vaccine is needed
- future resistance to Paxlovid should be anticipated with new back-up pills
