All fair points. I have met more than a few people who I wouldn't consider "poor", but certainly not the very progressive/elite/educated class, who didn't want to take the vaccine because they feared missing work. After it became more widely accepted and restrictions tightened, they did get it. I have known people who were in that class, who were simply "scared", those were their words. I have all three shots too, but I don't look at it as a class or intelligence signifier, in absolute terms, the way some people are guilty of. My Dad being one of them.

This guy is just trafficking in the time honored practice of well intentioned white liberals assuming Black/poor people have no control/agency over their own lives and that it's in fact people like himself who know what they want. This is his schtick and trust me there is a huge audience for it.

I didn't take that this way at all and since he mentioned people who are immunocompromised and can't get the vaccine, I don't think that was his point.
