General question for the American brehs, and I dont want anyone to take offence, but what is the endgame for this 40% of the American populace?
Back to the 60s where women, blacks and communists knew their place, or back to the frontier days when guns ruled the world and whisky was the go to cure for medical ailments?

They want their childhood back. They want the 50s, 60s, or 70s, or 80s, or 90s back. Before women and black people complained or were seen. When Christianity was the default. Every man woman and child to have a gun. And they want hollywood and govt to stop telling them how to live. They don't want real media anymore. For most colleges/universities to close down and only those left standing to just offer some trade or engineering like skills. For "common sense" to rule the day again.
Seems like a lot of America wants to become a small town in essence, and a lot simpler.
Sadly, for them, that's impossible. They can't have those things back. They can't reject the economy and culture that gives America its gdp and international power. Not without a true totalitarian govt or World War 3.

There is a direction that some want the country to go to and then there is the direction the country will go to,but no we are not going back to the 60s. Trump and his circus in my opinion was there last chance. Will there always be right wing conservatives, sure but a more no WASP society is the future.

There is no plan & no endgame. Just high functioning tribalism. Racism inspired partisanship on autopilot. The majority of cacs in America have deep seated bigtory that overrides any other logical function. Its like crack. This is why they turned out for trump. Every portion of their politics is less than six degrees of separation from racism being the underlying root cause and im willing to debate anyone on that.
Communists and feminists are irrelevant. The largest female racial demographic population aka white women are Trump supporters too. White women will burn all that feminist bullshyt to the ground for racism.
Red scare communism is ancient out of touch propaganda that nobody in 2020 buys into. "Communist" social programs are fine and dandy to be used in white communities (see wellfare) but you tell them a few black people may benefit and they want the idea scrapped entirely.
