surely everyone in that line doesnt need to be tested :dahell:
I don't know what the official advice is in the US but health officials here say anyone who has been in proximity to someone who has tested positive should get themselves tested even if they have no symptoms.

Translate that measure to densily populated cities in a country that has over 100,000 positive cases a day and yes, that looks to be about the amount of people who should get themselves tested.

It’s wild that a lot of jurisdictions wanted to open school even though it was known that fall and winter would be the worst. Stunning lack of concern for students.
Look how many people on here supported it.

I live in an area with a very low rate of infection but signed my kid up for distance learning for the entire school year in August. I knew rates would go up and even if we stay low, it only takes one outbreak to spread like wildfire.

I'm in the the Midwest, Nebraska to be exact and yes most are in denial it even exists, it's either that or the herd immunity crowd. It's almost a mental illness at this point, no matter the hard truth or numbers that are put out. I have a coworker who's husband has a auto immune deficiency (which affects his breathing) and they both don't believe covid is real and refuse to wear mask.

Add these things with the fact that most Americans selfish + the worst president American history and you couldn't have asked for a better storm.

Right now it's unfortunately everyone for themselves brehs I suggest you all stock up on /
necessities and hunker down its going to be a wild 6 months
I think you're going to see some of the midwestern states go into shelter in place by early-mid December.

what's the rationale behind these curfews on high risk activities (mainly indoor dining, gyms, bars and theaters where open)? how does saying close by 8/9/10pm defeat the fact that you have people indoor in these establishments possibly spreading the virus? is the virus nocturnal?

look, i'm anti shut down again, but mayors, governors, pols look stupid AF with this half take. you either feel these activities are an issue contributing to the rise and need to be put on pause or you're fine with keeping them going. faux precautions such as closing at 9 don't do anything
