Yo this shyt is insane. The amount of people dying preventable deaths cause they followed inaccurate propaganda is just sad. Going out sad. Honestly worse than an overdose. Atleast with an overdose you get the benefit of being high on whichever drug you prefer. There is no benefit to gain here other than personal pride which is unfortunately costing many their lives.

Hawaii anti-vaccine leader has regrets after getting COVID

Hawaii anti-vaccine leader has regrets after getting COVID
September 21, 2021

HONOLULU (AP) — A man who helped organize a Hawaii group that opposes COVID-19 vaccines and mandates says he contracted the disease and now has regrets.

Chris Wikoff told Hawaii News Now this week that he helped start the Aloha Freedom Coalition last October. He said he believed government shutdowns and mandates were threatening liberties and harming businesses.

“They were talking about vaccine passports and vaccine mandates and it seemed like it was over-the top totalitarianism and control,” Wikoff said.

But then he and his wife contracted COVID-19.

“We were told the COVID virus was not that deadly. It was nothing more than a little flu. I can tell you it’s more than a little flu,” he said.

Wikoff was sent to a hospital on the west side of Oahu, but was transferred to a facility in Honolulu because there was not enough space. The state’s hospitals were at or near capacity during the latest surge.

“I was in a bed. I can’t move, I can’t breathe,” he recalled. “I was afraid I was going to die.”

Wikoff is now considering getting vaccinated because his family and doctors recommend it.

“Probably getting COVID again would be more dangerous than getting the reaction from the vaccines,” he said.

Wikoff said he asked the Aloha Freedom Coalition to remove his name as a member on state business registration. He is now warning people to not attend large protests like the ones the group staged in front of Hawaii Lt. Gov. Josh Green’s home.

“Before I thought Josh Green was exaggerating the situation and after my experience he sounds very rational to me,” he said.

Green responded that “I feel terrible for this gentleman that he got sick.”

“He was obviously getting bad advice and I feel terrible that a lot of innocent people held off on getting vaccinated because they were listening to these fear tactics,” Green said.

The protest group released a statement saying the group will continue protesting and wished Wikoff well.

A 24-year-old father who didn't get vaccinated because he heard it was 'not real' died from Covid three weeks after imploring others from his hospital bed to get the shot.

Patrick Burshia was in intensive care and had ventilation tubes attached to his nose when he spoke to a reporter at the Billings Clinic in Montana.

The young father paused at times to catch his breath as he spoke of his deep regrets at not having taken a vaccine and warned others not to make the same mistake.

'I would not wish this on my worst enemy. As soon as I can, I'm getting the vaccine, and I highly recommend anyone who hasn't to do it because this is a very scary situation,' he said at the time.

Burshia died over the weekend. He leaves behind a young son.

NBC reporter Gabe Gutierrez had spoken to Burshia through a glass pane at the intensive care ward in Billings on September 1.

At the time, the young father told him that he 'absolutely, 100 per cent' regretted not having the shot before.

Burshia told NBC he had been hearing 'a lot of propaganda', including from friends and family members who did not trust the vaccine.

This included claims that it 'wasn't a real vaccine' and that it might contain 'a tracking chip that the government was trying to use on us.'

Nurse Chrissy Baxter described how Burshia took a bad turn after speaking with NBC and had to be put on a ventilator.

'Every time we moved him we weren't sure if the end wasn't going to be in that moment, so I just wanted to be there to hold his hand,' she said through tears.

The hospital where Burshia died is already experiencing its highest influx of coronavirus patients since last year.

It has been forced to set up overflow beds in the hallway in an effort to cope with the vast numbers of sick people.

Experts say that the dramatic uptick in cases in Montana and in other states is down to the highly infectious Delta variant which first originated in India.

Montana is one of four states, including Idaho, Washington and Texas, that have started to ration care for patients due to the St. Peter's Health hospital being overwhelmed.

Governor Greg Gianforte announced on Tuesday that he is sending another 70 members of the National Guard to help at six hospitals across the state.

That includes 10 guards to the Billings Clinic.

Montana reported 1,181 new Covid infections on Tuesday, with 9,976 active cases in the state.

The number of people currently hospitalized stands at 377, an increase of 19 since Monday.

Family members said on Facebook that she lost her battle against Covid-19 - after frequently posting content protesting vaccines and labelling herself "unmasked and unmuzzled" and a "free thinker."

Lowery had made use of political borders for her profile photos, including one reading: "Unmasked, unmuzzled, unvaccinated, unafraid. Together we win."

Another read: "Free Thinker. Question everything. Research mandatory."

She also appears to have gone to a protest or anti-vaccine event holding a sign reading: "Give voice to the vaccine injured."

In the photo, she also wore a shirt proclaiming herself to be an "ex-vaxxer" and reading: "I trusted them. Never again."

Yet another photo was lined with a border reading 'Moms for Liberty.' Lowery was mother to four school-age children, Tayden, McKenna, Ella, and Ryenn.

But earlier this month, her sister, Cassie, wrote on Facebook that Lowery was "in the hospital fighting for her life against Covid and pneumonia."

"My sister has a long life left. We need you here, sissy. Your kids love and miss you so much. Please don't give up," she wrote.

She also warned that this wasn't "political" and she was uninterested in hearing anyone's opinions on vaccines.

Then, last week, two family members posted on Facebook that Lowery "died from Covid," with her aunt mourning that her "heart is breaking for her four kids."

"So many people need her here, but God must have special plans for her in heaven," her aunt wrote.

On a GoFundMe page that has raised over $11,000 for her funeral, a loved one also shared the new, which is "devastating to everyone that knew her."

"Kristen was a beautiful and amazing woman but more than that she was a phenomenal mother who always, ALWAYS put her children first," she wrote.

"She lived for her children (Tayden, McKenna, Ella, and Ryenn) and loved being their mother more than anything in her life.

"She was full of life and loved her friends and family fiercely. She was the kind of person that even if she didn't have anything she would give the shirt off of her back to anyone in need. She was everything that was good and kind.

"Her passing leaves a big hole in many of our lives and she will never be forgotten but will be greatly missed," reads the page.

Covid-19 has killed nearly 675,000 people in the U.S., and more than 4.5 million worldwide.

The vaccines authorized in the U.S. have been shown to significantly reduce the likelihood of severe illness, hospitalization and death from the disease.

And no evidence has established that said vaccine caused any deaths, let alone hundreds of thousands.

Benjamin Linas, professor of medicine and epidemiology at Boston University told PolitiFact in relation to celebrities spreading misinformation about the vaccine: "Yes, there are many people — thousands even — who have died within weeks or even days of getting a Covid-19 vaccine.

"That is because there are hundreds of millions of people in the U.S. and human beings are mortal," he explained.
