It kind've makes storyline sense. He put the interest of the smarks on his back (Brock being the absentee father champ), got booed, and also got his ass kicked.

I was thinking the same thing and I'd love to be right about that but they've had openings before where they should go that route. Maybe now he's convinced he can't beat Brock and that will be the chance for something.

He's kinda right tho. Even if we know what a finish is, part of the whole point is telling the story.

We knew Gargano would win last night against Ciampa. That didn't matter because the story was told so well. It was a great fukking match(one of the best of the entire weekend) and I don't think anyone for a second thought Johnny Wrestling was really going to lose.

Sometimes nikkas do just gotta chill and just watch the shyt play out. This Mania went to shyt and I think it's Vince going directly at the people that think they know the best course of action for business. He threw away quite a few builds for no actual reason tonight.

Yeah it's one thing to enjoy the show, which im sure everyone there did, but its your job as a crowd to let them know what works and what doesn't. That's the point of working with a live audience; they give you instant feedback. And its their job to find something that does work for the crowd. Year after year, the crowd has been telling them the same thing and they keep trying to find different ways to make it work. I understand Greg's frustration but at what point do you stop being mad at the audience and start getting mad at the people forcing something on that audience?

Idk if this has to do with ur post but I can say during that final match they were yelling out "this is awful" and we're more interested in the beach ball than the match

They are used to the hatred he gets from winning, they aren't used to "boring" and "this is awful" for his matches. A squash will just get boos. They can work around that. But your WM main event getting booed, boring and this is awful chants and you want to crown the top guy to THAT? I don't think this was the original finish. If Roman was getting at least Orton level reactions he would have gone over clean tonight.
