i know it's blasphemous to say this here, on nas/jay-z central, but cormega has a better overall discography than the both of them. dude's released 4 consistently dope albums, that each have their own soundscape. he's 4 for 4, vs where they both have multiple forgettable albums....
this. by the time the next album dropped i didnt really care anymore and the songs werent as fresh. mega is still that nikkaDoes anyone else feel like Cormega missed a great opportunity to build off the momentum of his first two albums?
He released The Realness and The True Meaning within a year ... but then:
1. He took two years to put out another project (Legal Hustle), and it was more of a compilation than a solo album
2. He followed that up by putting out The Testament. I am glad he released it, but I'd already heard half of it (and, as it turned out, it was the best half). Also, it wasn't the same as getting an all new album with new material.
3. I think he was featured on Lake's album in 2006-07
4. Finally, after 7 years, he released a proper new solo album in 2009
Discographies are overrated. Mega never peaked higher than Nas.
