How u figure mega was acting friendly? P whole reason for getting snuffed and robbed was him wanted to be down. He like being around thorough nikkas and having them around. He hung around mega for the same reason he hung around bags which is the same reason he was offering nikkas he don't even know free tickets...he wanted to be accepted by street nikkas. He was the one acting friendly. Who keeps company with people that don't respect them?
I see your point. That doesn't mean Cormega was in the right. It went both ways, they used to ask P for the collabos. They both wrong.

Now I see why Nas warned him on destroy and rebuild to get the snakes out his circle.

The situation with P, sherm, mega and lake was complicated and not really relevant to the topic here.

Mega's point still holds true, his career has maintained due to his own hard work. Yeah nas gave him a good look but if that was all mega had his career would have died when he was kicked out the firm. His career has maintained all these years cause of his own hard work, talent and dedication.

For all the shyt you nikkas talkin' about Mega not signing that slave deal, in 2017 he is more successful than everyone that was in The Firm not named Nas, and has a better music catalog than every one of them (don't quote me) AND owns his masters

A couple months back he did a fukking book singing in Harlem at like 7pm and had lines around the block. He constantly overseas doing shows and getting shown mad love

And for the record, he has acknowledged that Nas simply made a business decision in remaining loyal to Steve Stoute. Still, it's obvious Stoute did a shyt job with the Firm and missed out on what was one of the biggest opportunities in rap at the time. Some of these fakkit ass Nas stans would rather Mega never speak up for himself and just remain quiet while nikkas throw dirt on his name. bytch nikkas :mjlol: And Mega was respectful as fukk in his response so if you had an issue with what he said you definitely overly emotional and need to check that :mjlol:

And quit the crying about Prodigy. Mega did what he could to prevent that nikka from getting violated but at the end of the day he remained loyal to the nikkas in his crew, which is how it's supposed to go. Prodigy was a loud mouth nikka anyway. Y'all sound like some bytches whinin' about "why Mega didn't hold him down?" Why didn't Prodigy hold himself down? Why didn't his people?

Mega intervened for P several times. At what point is a grown ass man (who talks all this gangsta shyt by the way) supposed to handle his OWN business? Y'all making all these excuses for a wannabe gangsta rapper who couldn't back up what he talked about.

And Mega been had a buzz and had nikkas all over the country reciting his lyrics at his shows before he was heavy on Mobb songs.

I just disagree. The group existed before Dre was even brought in, and even before Stoute got involved. They were Firm when AZ was promoting Doe or Die. Stoute was the one that told Mega that it would cost him 10K to be on the album and he had to pay Stoute...and all because he signed with Lighty (Stoute's words). Nas was on the top of the world at that time, so all he had to do was say "That's my man. He stays in." Other artists have done such. Stoute would've still got paid off the group, just not make extra off Mega. He wasn't even the only 1, AZ had no affiliation with TM or Stoute, even though AZ had a gold single as leverage, Stoute didn't make extra off him.

-Stoute became Nas’s manager in 95. He’s the one who put Nas with the TrackMasters and pretty much guided his career after Ilmatic dropped.

-AZ had leverage. In 94 his verse on Life’s A bytch started a bidding war to sign him. Sugar Hill went platinum. Doe Or Die went Gold. The Firm wasn’t called a SUPER group for nothing. It’s because three of the most buzzing rappers in NY joined forces (Nas, AZ, Foxy Brown)

-The Firm was the Brain child of both Nas and Stoute, Stoute dealt with business matters and by his own account, Cormega’s attitude was bad for business. Nas has said too that Mega’s attitude was that of someone who felt that Nas owes him something. If I’m a multi platinum artist and a homeboy of mine came OUT the pen acting like I was his little man’s, id drop that entitled nikka too. Mega himself has admitted he was immature back then and made mistakes.

No nikka. Thats not all he had to say. Thats not how shyt works. The group consists of 2 other members. Once money gets invested and top tier producers get involved shyt aint that simple. The music business dont work like that. shyt no business works like that. Nas did that nikka 100 favors. shyt he didnt HAVE TO DO. Put him on with heavy hitters in the game. The nikka didnt wanna sign? Cool. But dont shyt on NAS cause of it. Go ya own way and do ya thing like a man. I couldnt even see myself behaving the way Mega did in that situation.

U wanna know one of the reasons why Mega so successful? His fukk Nas campaign. nikka had albums worth of fukk Nas material. Did documentaries. All kinda shyt. Alotta nikkas prolly copped his shyt to see what he was gonna say next. That “beef” did literally wonders for his career. Now after shytting on Nas for years he wanna halfway acknowledge he was on some bullshyt.

Didn't Sauce Money turn down Jay because he didn't want to work with Dame? The difference is he never went around talking shyt for years after blaming Jay. He kept it moving...

Just for reference, mentioned because situation was similar... and like Nas and Mega, Sauce and Jay knew each other since childhood.

Nas put a lot of cats on, Az, Nature, Mega, Lake, Pop/Blitz, Quan, Braveharts, Nashawn. Out of all them cats Mega has been the one with the most determination and has a good career to show for it. Sure he may never have reached the mainstream but he has carved out his own lane and ran with it and is still doing it.

Regardless of mistakes he may have made in the past, opportunities he may have blown, relationships that may have faded, he really is the main one responsible for his own success.

Stoute is a bytch
