It's more like power dynamics and institutional roles within policing override any racial solidarity. You're just as likely to be abused by a Black cop as you are a white cop because the system is built to enforce control over communities, not to protect them, which ends up corrupting Black cops too. That's why we talk about how the problem is a systemic one, and not just about the behavior of individuals, when we are talking aobut how the institution of policing operates, especially in certain communities. Studies show that people in marginalized areas face police aggression and unjust treatment even if they're law-abiding citizens.
