Only federation in the world that does this bullshyt for their marquee tournament. Clown show.

CONMEBOL is a joke

Unserious and unprofessional

What a dumb rule

:umad: :pachaha:

Nah, it's better this way, especially in this era of fixture congestion. Get these matches over with.

Conmebol tournaments rarely feature extra time. Copa Libertadores has the same setup, no extra time until the final.

Back in the days, even the finals didn't have extra time. Go find highlights of the 2004 final and see what that looked like.

Why is the Final in Charlotte off all places?
It’s in Miami
Argentina selling out every stadium this summer. Wow
Yep. Copa American avg 47K a match. If organizers were smarter with scheduling and location these matches could have been 50-60K a match and made more than the Euros. I’ve been following the Copa America and there’s a lot of veiled criticism of the US about how some matches aren’t well attended when in reality this tourney is better attended than the past 6 Euros.
This is a situation where no extra time screwed Ecuador

Exactly. It makes no sense for Copa to have ET for KOs if you look at it. All 10 of the CONMEBOL nations play each other very regularly in WCQ. People really gotta double click into the history and format of this competition.

There’s even a train of thought that all KO matches should end after 90 mins in all tourneys. When you get to ET players get leggy. If people know that after 90 mins it’s going to pens, there’ll be more intensity.

Next time I hope they put a game in Baltimore at least. I understand FEDEX Field is Asss, RFK is old, DC United stadium is too small.

But to not have a game in this Area is criminal.

This is one the biggest Soccer areas in the land.

Venezuela vs Canada tonight in Jerry World ... in a spot the organizers probably thought would feature Mexico.

Numbers might look crazy
