People on my Facebook are trying to appeal to an empathy that is lacking. They're not ready for what I have to propose because they'll accuse me of being emotional. I've had all week to think about it. Hell, I've had four, five years to think about it. Ain't just emotion. I have an opinion, I have history on my side to give credence to that opinion, and y'all want to try to appeal to insanity, to a beast that has no humanity in it. It is sad that blood has to be shed, but our blood has been shed soon as we were forced onto a ship and brought to this hemisphere.

Do people think the Haitians were trying to pray it all away? Did Haitian slaves protest? Different times, different geography, but they didn't wait. Did the prisoners on the Amistad wait? The Creole? Did Nat Turner wait?

Or better yet, does white supremacy wait before they ask us to forgive the murder committed against us? Does it wait before putting an innocent man's picture up as a suspect?
