I think it's also very suspicious that the Dallas police chief told his officers NOT wear riot gear and go for a more casual approach. Like what are the odds? And now the he is talking about why its important to militarize the police force Riot gear wouldn't have protected these guys from triangulated attack from three roof snipers. shyt is so shady.

actually I'm a military vet fool.... and I clearly said other lengths of time too

navy is 7 weeks
army is 10
air force is now 8
marines is 12


tech school is exactly that... a school to learn your job in the military... not war time fukking training

if you go in to be a chef... you go to chef training... ground radar... ground radar training.. etc etc and there are over 180 jobs in each branch




in other words... COMBAT training isn't even the whole time of boot camp and that's about the only time you go to straight up combat training. you might get a refresher every few years IF that.. a few exercises every so often... like I said, I was in there. and as a ground radar tech, we went to every situation cause you always need radar


you know that 50% of all war time kills are by friendly fire?? that alone should tell you how trained these dudes are. it just happens there are usually more of us, with bigger, better and more weapons than the enemy


other countries are straight up training DAILY




our military is not full of some elite war force... most are kids trying to get a free education... and that goes quadruple for cops... they train even less and have to act on it a lot less frequent. a team of 3-4 civilian people can shoot 11 of them and kill 5.. how elite can they really be

Dog but you're talking about Combat scenario an army infantryman or a marine don't are the main cats on the ground. You think they only train in bootcamp. I don't understand the point you're making. What rank were you and how long were you in. Probably didn't even finish 1 enlistment. You putting regular Sailors soldiers marines and airman in combat scenarios when you have AFSCs and MOSs that specialize in that shyt. If you are going to be put in a scenario where its likely you might need additional skills they have shyt like CST on army bases. Our military is what it is and I'm not a super patriotic dude even though I'm retired military but I've worked with every branch and multiple countries military as part of ISAF and our shyt is the best.

we also have cut down on the commitment... you can now join the military for 2 years instead of 4... and they allow in people with charges and shyt


again... we are not some elite fighting force... it's mostly kids and shyt, trying to get a free education, job, benefits... they do a little training and get stationed in the middle of bumfukk for 18 months... then suddenly get orders to go fight some nikkas in a desert, 5000 miles away... as if they know what the fukk they actually doing

From what Im reading Dallas PD seems to have been much improved in interactions with civilians under their current police chief

Probably a real possibility that one or more of the cops killed is black too.


Pacifism for the sake of it may not be useful but I dont see how random violence like this will encourage change. Remember the NYPD police killings the other year? That took the wind out of the sails of a strong protest movement and completely shifted the narrative.
