I don't think this was an inside job for a number of reasons:

1) A bunch of videos of the event were recorded by everyday people. If it were an inside job, there would be limited video footage, evidence etc.

2) They wouldn't risk a bunch of citizens being killed let alone kill cops.. Unless they used hollow bullets and the cops played dead (which I doubt).
